Meryl Streep created waves when she called out Donald Trump while accepting the annual Cecil B DeMille Award. Her speech left audiences both stunned and silenced.

While delivering her speech, Streep said that she was stunned when President-elect Donald Trump mocked a disabled person during his election campaign. “It kind of broke my heart when I saw it,” she said. “I still can’t get it out of my head, because it wasn’t in a movie. It was real life.” Streep said that “when the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.”
