Many people dream of doing something different but very few of them actually go out there and make it happen and Rahul Karanpuriya is one of them. An MBA dropout, he is on a 52-week-long journey all over India in search of 52 innovators and individuals who are making a difference by choosing alternative careers that benefit the planet.
At a very early age, Karanpuriya realized that he could not stay in one place for long, and thus he combined his two passions together that is travel and innovation to start a project called 52Parindey. Through this project, he wants to celebrate heroes who are living a conscious life through dying or alternate careers.
In 2014, Rahul decided to free himself from the limitations of formal education and steady employment, to pursue his interests, and explore new ways of learning. Initially, he planned exploring only his home town Udaipur and Chittorgarh but ended up going around various landscapes of Rajasthan. He found this experience to be very enriching and so in November 2015, he left home on a journey that would take him to the furthest corners of the country in search of people following their hearts in alternate careers.
Over this period of 10 months, Rahul has met around 30 innovators who are engaged in not so mainstream vocations but are extremely eco-friendly. Till dates he has covered states from the north (Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan) to the south (Goa and Tamil Nadu). From eco-architects, organic farmers and alternate educationists to waste management experts, folklore conservations and storytellers, Rahul has covered innovators across various vocations.
