A Checklist To Tick Off Before Starting Your Own Blog

Blogs, for years, have proved to be the broadcasters of independent voices. Ever since their inception, they have been used to channelize one’s writing skills and have also been a brilliant platform for updating and entertaining readers. They are an effective tool of voicing opinions against injustice or prominent societal issues.

Blogging is about sharing what you see, or want to see, in the world. It’s about teaching or sharing what you know and what you, too, are learning. When you start a blog, you’ll find yourself always learning new things about your areas of interest so you can keep sharing without running dry of ideas. Do you plan to start one? Here, I chalk out the things to keep in mind while starting with a blog.

Nature Of The Blog

It’s extremely important to think before starting a blog so that the nature of the blog is specified. As the kind of content that will be published will directly target the much-needed viewer attention. This nature explains your specialization in your understanding of the theme and the content of your blog.

Think and Ink

To communicate the thought behind your blog effectively, it is important for you select a platform that attracts your target group and can garner enough traffic. An example of it could be, Facebook being targeted by the blogger for the publication of blogs related to social issues. Also, many food blogs that attract a huge chunk of followers on Instagram could be clubbed with the blog to increase the viewership.

A Host to Your Blog

Someone is already in a queue to host your blog. The blog will be given an exposure once the host finds it profitable to allocate your blog some space on the server and earn profit over it. Here, the viewer doesn’t pay any extra penny. Instead the server will pay the blogger every time the link receives a click. This will be a good source of income for you as a blogger.

A Name To Your Domain

Domain name is your account name which will help your fans to track your account over the thousands of regularly generated blogs. It’s not possible for you to select the already existing domain names. The available domain names would be displayed over the screen, just awaiting your click. Select any domain name which is easy to remember for the blog readers.

Visual Appeal

The writing pattern of your blog, and the layout including pictures should be readable and catchy. By avoiding the extensive use of jargons, make the language reader-friendly. It is important to bear in mind that the use of complex statements would reduce the readability of the article.

Pen down your perspective, feel free to publish it and you’ll see how the audience is always willing to read an article written by a thoughtful mind. One pertinent problem with blogs is nurturing them till they grow. There are almost 300 blogs that shut down within the first two months of them being launched. It’s always advisable to keep maximum back-up topics or articles. Keep posting on compelling topics and give it time. The regularity of the blog will soon become the popularity.

Happy blogging!
