Waves ’25 – Masquerade of Mayhem: 20 Years of Cultural Excellence at BITS Goa

This October, the shores of Goa will come alive as BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus unveils the 20th edition of its flagship cultural extravaganza – Waves ’25. Set to take place from 31st October to 2nd November 2025, this year’s theme, “Masquerade of Mayhem”, promises an unforgettable blend of art, energy, and creativity as thousands of students and artists come together to celebrate two decades of Waves.

Over the years, Waves has evolved into one of India’s most celebrated college cultural festivals, attracting over 10,000 participants and attendees each year. Known for its infectious energy, stellar production, and star-studded performances, Waves has become synonymous with youthful spirit and artistic freedom – and its 20th edition is all set to raise the stakes higher than ever.

When night falls, the campus transforms into a spectacle of sound and light. From Bollywood icons like Mohit Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, and Sunidhi Chauhan, to Indie sensations such as Mohammed Irfan and Pineapple Express, from electrifying EDM and rap nights with Raftaar and Seedhe Maut, to laughter-filled sets by comedians Aakash Gupta and Abhishek Upmanyu – every night at Waves is an experience that stays long after the lights fade.

By day, the fest is driven by its iconic Big Four – Searock (India’s leading semi-professional band competition), Natyanjali (the grand dance showcase), Mr. & Ms. Waves (the search for charisma and talent), and the glamorous Fashion Parade. Adding to the excitement are events like Show Me The Funny (stand-up), Rangmanch (theatre), Sizzle (street dance battles), Moot Court (legal duels), Strangely Familiar (quirky compatibility challenge), and the ever-charming Prom Night, making Waves a complete cultural phenomenon.

As Waves ’25 celebrates its 20th anniversary, it stands as a symbol of legacy, expression, and celebration – an enduring testament to BITS Goa’s creative heartbeat. When the masquerade begins on 31st October, it won’t just be another fest – it’ll be three days of mayhem, memories, and magic.
