Top Shows To Binge-Watch And Look Out For This Summer

If you couldn’t tell by the extremely humid weather, summer is officially here. If you’re in school, summer vacations have probably started and you need to find a way to relax in this heat. If you’re not in school, then perhaps you just need a way to wind down during the weekend because going out seems like a task in this weather. Either way, here are a few shows you can binge-watch this summer alone, or with your friends.

The Diplomat

An amazing political thriller, The Diplomat is a show is set amid an international political crisis, where a career diplomat is trying to keep up with her new job as an ambassador to the United Kingdom, as well as fixing her turbulent marriage. This show is a must-watch for people who have an interest in politics and how everything works. It is a perfect binge-watch.

Citadel

An American-action spy thriller starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Citadel is follows the story of international spies who are up against an evil corporation, Manticore. It’s a series with a great plot and an impressive cast, which is sure to keep you entertained and leave you wanting more. There’s currently only three episodes, with new ones coming every week. So, this is definitely a show that you can keep for weekly watches!

Indian Matchmaking

Our beloved Sima aunty is back again with the third season of Indian Matchmaking. With the same amount of drama, this is probably the most binge-worthy show of all time. As much as you think you don’t like it, you’ll keep watching because for most of us, this show is definitely our guilty pleasure. Go ahead and binge-watch this show guilt-free.

The Night Manager 

Adapted from the British show, this show follows the story of Shaan Sengupta who gets involved in infiltrating an arms dealer’s inner circle to bring down his empire of war. If you are into action, drama, and spy thrillers, then this show is right up your alley. Although there’s only 4 episodes to watch currently, the other half of the season is being released in June. So, if you’ve already watched it, perhaps this is a good time to rewatch the show to brush up on your memory, and if you haven’t watched it, then this is the perfect time to start watching because you wouldn’t have to wait too long either!

Queen Charlotte

A spin-off series for the people who couldn’t get enough of Bridgerton, the show reimagines the backstory of Queen Charlotte. The series is a great watch as it analyzes the relationship between Queen Charlotte and King George III, and uses it to talk about mental illness and the shame that comes with it in society. A must-watch, this show should definitely be on your watchlist this summer.

BEEF

A comedy-drama series starring Ali Wong and Steven Yeun, BEEF follows the story of two people Entertaining from the first episode till the last, this show is such a breath of fresh air, as it covers topics that aren’t usually talked about in movies and shows and they find ways to make you go throigh every emotion while watching it. A unique plot with an impressive cast, this show will surely want a second season as soon as you finish it.
