The founders of two famous apps, MakeMyTrip and TrulyMadly came up with the idea of launching an app, specifically curated for people of the Indian LGBT+ community. The app is a safe space where the members can connect with each other and find support. Screenshots are disabled on android phone and no one except the user can view their Facebook profile after they have linked their profiles to the app.

India has one of the world’s largest LGBT+ population and Delta App is its first homegrown app.

OKCUPID

Founded in 2003, the dating app has grown to an enthusiastic 1.8 million members over the years. All apps are free for users to use but the free subscription of OkCupid is one of the best among the top dating platforms.

The site Heavy.com compared the app to Tinder and have come to a conclusion that one can quickly see who is a good match for oneself in this dating app considering the interface offers a bit more detail about the person than Tinder does. It also provides a complex array of match questions which makes this app more likely to foster serious, lasting connections than Tinder.

SCRUFF

The app allows different guys from GBTQ community to browse through millions of different profiles of guys from nearby and around the world. Apart from targeting men, Scruff is the first app to include an option for the transgender community and is also one of the top apps to remove the requirement to list an ethnicity when setting up a profile.

It provides advanced search features, user videos and message histories in its premium offer.

LGBTQutie

This dating app is one of the first apps of its kind that caters to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, pansexual, asexual, queer, non-binary and intersex individuals. This app is curated for members who are looking for something a little more substantial than a hookup.

It asks its new users to fill out their ‘LGBTQuestionnaire’ to express their feelings about a variety of topics, which users can compare with each other and connect to people with to similar preferences and perspectives. 

GRINDR

Possibly the most popular dating app in the gay, bisexual and bi-curious world, the app has been winning the trust of males of the world for a decade now.

Grindr includes trans and queer community which was ignored by many creators at first. The app is based on geo-targeting and uses one’s phone’s location to find other members nearby. It’s a fun app for chatting, trading photos, and meeting up with people. To make the chatting more fun, the developers have provided the users with Gaymoji, a collection of over 500 LGBTQ-themed stickers.

The LGBTQIA community have as much right to date and be in a relationship as anyone else, and it’s only fair that they get a safe space to do so.
