These Bollywood Celebs Are Raising Their Voices For A Social Cause: We’re With You!

Amidst all the glamour, fame and sho-sha, there are many Bollywood celebs who believe in contributing towards a social cause. Be it a small beach-clean drive or donating huge sums of money during the time of natural calamities, every Bollywood celeb has given something back to society. Out of all these, there are a few who have stood out in the public eye due to their constant and tireless efforts to make society a tad bit better place to live in.

Let’s get to know more about them

Aamir Khan

We love him for entertaining us with his out-of-the-world movies. But, the kind of social work he has been doing over the years, has boosted our respect towards him. Aamir Khan established a non-profit organisation in 2016 known as the Paani Foundation that works towards the social cause of drought prevention and watershed management in the state of Maharashtra, India.

Deepika Padukone

Of course, we all are mesmerised by her beauty. There is no doubt in that, but what makes her even more attractive is her efforts to destigmatize depression. She has been the single most person in the industry who has raised her voice on mental health and depression from time to time. She is always seen tirelessly making efforts to make people understand that mental health is equally important as other physical illnesses and can happen to anyone.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Our desi girl has witnessed massive achievement and popularity over the years. There are many who get absolutely drowned in their riches and fame, but PC has proved to be a striking exception. Her contribution towards a social cause is not just restricted to the boundaries of one country but is spread across the world. Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been associated with UNICEF for over a decade now. She always works for the betterment of children all over the world.

Dia Mirza

Although not that active in the movies, she is active in working towards improving the quality of the environment. She has been carrying out campaigns and spreading awareness about various environmental issues that require immediate attention.

Anushka Sharma

Sure she has her own clothing brand, but she also is very vocal about animal welfare. Very recently, she was all over the media due to the role she played in informing people about a brutal dog killing incident that occurred in Mumbai. The actress very often keeps sharing images and messages on her social media handles, encouraging people to protect animals.

Ananya Panday

A new face in the B-town, the actress has already won the hearts of millions as she shed light on one of the most pressing issues the youth faces today. Ananya Panday launched a brand new initiative called ‘SO Positive’. Through this initiative, Ananya aims at educating and creating awareness among the youth about cyberbullying and introduces measures that can be taken by those suffering, in order to deal with it correctly.

Raising your voice for a social cause, be it big or small, is crucial if you want to make Earth a better place to live and co-exist. These celebs are doing just that and are inspiring millions. We are proud of each one of them.

What social cause are you investing in?
