The Edutainment Show returns

Second edition of educational exhibition to be held in April

The second edition of The Edutainment Show will be held in JW Marriott, Mumbai on 26 and 27 April. The show is one of the country’s largest educational exhibitions which clubs serious discussions on education and careers with members of the entertainment industry. The exhibition is a must-visit for undergraduate, graduates and postgraduates in the fields of media, communication and design.

Experts such as DJ Akbar Sami, Terrence Lewis, Roshan Abbas, Neeta Lulla, Subhash Ghai, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman and others will discuss their journey to becoming accomplished people in their respective fields.

An academic panel will consist of reputed deans of the country’s best institutes such as Dr. Nagesh Rao of MICA, Chandan Chatterjee of SIMC and Pradyumna Vyas of NID. The panel will discuss educational specialisations in the fields of media, communications and design by interacting with the students.

An industry panel consisting of Manish Bhatt (Scarecrow), Josy Paul (Chairman, BBDO), Anant Rangaswami (Editor, Storyboard), Ashish Patil (Yash Raj Films), Anurag Batra (Exchange4Media), R Swaminathan (Eventfaqs) and Jaideep Singh (Viacom18) will discuss the current scenario of employment in the fields.

The exhibition will have representatives from various Indian institutes who will be available to interact with students and clarify any doubts about the courses offered by the institutes. Some of the institutes to partake in the exhibition are listed below:

The two day exhibition is organised by Event Capital. Deepak Choudhary, Director and CEO of Event Capital, says “Government of India has reckoned the need for almost 10,000 designers in India. Therefore, the idea behind ‘The Edutainment Show 2014’ is to showcase the changing paradigms in the fields of media, design and communication to enhance the knowledge of the students.”

The inaugural edition which was held last year had an excess of 5,000 students visiting and is expected to grow further with this year’s exhibition.
