Techfest – Discovering TechVolution Concludes

The Computer Society of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai had hosted its first ever fest focussed on revolutionary technological developments in and around the world in today’s times – TECHFEST ’22. This extremely novel and unique initiative was backed by our team, a group of young and enthusiastic tech savvy minds, who got together to make this fest; a dream come true for all the wild achievers. True to its name, the theme of TECHFEST ’22 was “Discovering TechVolution” that was revolutionizing the tech world in a fun and educative manner, making it easier, more interactive, and easily accessible by alike. In this digital era, it is next to impossible to neglect the brilliance of this ever-improving industry. Right from fun filled workshops on designing and fintech to nerve wracking competitions that test your tech skills, TECHFEST ’22 was the choicest assortment of all things of tech and tantra, which could be clearly seen in the responses the fest garnered.

Colleges from all over Mumbai and even from across the state participated in this three-day event starting from the 1st of March 2022 to the 3rd of March 2022. Gaming and informal sessions gathered widespread participation especially for the FIFA ’22 and The IPL Auction. Workshops were conducted on a wide range of topics that included the stock market, cryptocurrency, SEO, website development and digital marketing. These intriguing activities and game sessions were backed by well-known sponsors from across the country namely, Bounce – The Official Fun and Fitness Partner, DU Beat – The Official Media Partner, ED Times – The Official Blog Partner and Youth Incorporated – The Official Youth Partner of TECHFEST ’22. They were also further sponsored gifts and special prizes by SMAAASH, Vatan Jan Awaaz and many more. Working day and night to make this event a success became a part of everyone’s daily routine. The thrill of offline working is something each student has missed and to get to work in-person with everyone is so rewarding when it all comes down to the whole event, the one planned from scratch with no prior experience whatsoever, is a success.

Not only was this fest rewarding for the organizing committee but at the same time, our participants also had a gala time. Getting inquiries for next year’s fest details adds to the glory of our TECHFEST’22. One not only learns how to expand their knowledge about the digital realm, but also understands how to implement this evergreen knowledge in real life. Someone once very rightly said, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Technology is only going to advance and revolutionize the present world that we live in, in ways that are beyond imagination. Never stop innovating because the innovation of today is the normal of tomorrow. Everyone who was a part of TECHFEST is truly grateful for this wholesome experience and we too, look forward to keeping innovating.

The fest came to a fantastic finish last Thursday, with a closing session that saw the winners being announced and prizes being distributed. All in all, it was a successful event hosted entirely by students right from FYJC until TY promised to keep the legacy going forward with many more such tech themed events coming up, diving right back into the digital realm, the future of tomorrow.
