Round 1
I think if Preity Zinta turns a polititcian, she will surely make headlines, as most celebs who take the political path create good ‘breaking news’. Although, she would need to marry Rahul Gandhi and then turn a politician, and that would ensure hoardes of headlines carrying her name.
Ishkq in Paris has definitely killed any chance for Preity Zinta to make headlines anymore. I don’t think there’s much scope left for her in the film industry, so no headlines coming out from there. Putting her foot into any new business venture or further into the IPL can give her a few chances to make headlines.
Round 2
Empowering girls is the first step. Instilling self confidence in them does make a huge difference as it prevents one getting subdued. In this day and age, having the knowledge of self-defense techniques like Kickboxing or Martial Arts also helps. Maybe then the next generation will complain of ‘Adam Teasing’.
Tit for tat is definitely not the answer for this one. I think today’s generation is way more responsible and civilized than they are portrayed. One’s upbringing does reflect on one’s values. The right company, not giving in to peer pressure and a sense to distinguish between wrong and right is the main key for discouragement against eve teasing.
Round 3
According to me, nothing is timeless in this day and age. Terrorists neither have brains to think rationally or intellectually, nor a heart to feel humanity or compassion. As the Indian Army has rightly said “let God punish them”, so we too must do our duty and send them to God.
I’ve personally never been a follower of Gandhiji. According to me this principle isn’t enough to curb the nuisance of terrorism. Terrorism is such a huge problem in today’s time that we must tackle it by targeting its cause/roots – which is tackling people taking advantage of other persons’ poverty and religious beliefs.
