Shruti Chouhan and Mahi Agarwal of Grade 8, SNS Noida, are the winning duo at the prestigious CBSE schools’ badminton meet that also saw the participation of schools from abroad
Noida, January 20, 2023: Two Grade 8 students at Shiv Nadar School (a not-for-profit initiative of the Shiv Nadar Foundation in K12 education) emerged as champions at the recently concluded 2022-23 CBSE National Badminton Championship in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. In the closely fought finals, Shruti Chouhan and Mahi Agarwal of SNS, Noida, defeated the students of GEMS, Dubai.
The four-day championship, which took place at the Jeevem Sports School Ground, featured winners and finalists from various zonal competitions. There were schools from eight zones, including CBSE schools from Dubai, Riyadh, and other Middle Eastern nations. The competition registered the participation of around 700 players.
The nail-biting finals of the Under 14 Girls lasted for 1.5 hours, which finally saw Shiv Nadar School Noida emerging as the champion.
