A recent blockbuster movie from the South created waves and their song has got the world dancing on its feet. Hello and welcome to our WHATS NEW segment.
For the first time ever, India won a Golden Globe award on January 11, for the Telugu song Natu Natu (or Nacho Nacho in Hindi) from the movie RRR directed by SS Rajamouli.
The song is composed by MM Keeravaani who is a veteran music director. Its lyrics are written and sung by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. This song had both the lead actors dancing in sync to the steps and was shot in 18 takes with over 30 days of shooting and 60 days of choreography.
The song was competing against ‘Carolina’ from Where the Crawdads Sing, ‘Ciao Papa’ from Pinocchio, ‘Hold My Hand’ from Top Gun: Maverick, and ‘Lift Me Up’ from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Natu Natu is from the same movie that became eligible for Oscar nominations this year. With this Indians have a lot to celebrate and what better song than Natu Natu to dance on it.
Congratulations to the entire RRR team.
