A fest that promises a celebration, its joyous wings spreading far and beyond its own perimeters – Festember. With several outreach events to spread the word out and create an experience that everyone can remember, Festember gets bigger and better with every edition of its iconic events.
The Rolling Reels International Film Festival (RRIFF) celebrates the quintessential in a film – class, culture and community. As a medium, films energize and exhilarate their audience and act as a glue that brings people together. Presented by Festember – the most grandiose student run-fest in South India, the RRIFF provides everyone with the perfect chance to showcase their filmmaking skills and interact with established icons in the cinema world.
The movie-making contest spans over three months, during which all the submitted entries are judged critically by a jury panel, the best of which are showcased in the two-day festival. Apart from the contest, the festival also has numerous workshops and panel discussions, where participants can learn from the best minds. To put it in a nutshell, cinema is beyond just escapism, it’s about inspiration, and the spirit of the RRIFF is about embodying this. This 2021, the RRIFF is back again in its 7th edition, to give budding cinema enthusiasts a chance to take the industry by storm, so stay tuned on that.
Festember was thrilled to have a dynamic judging panel comprising of prominent critics, cinematographers, directors, editors, and filmmakers like Delhi Ganesh, Madhumita Sundararaman and Sivakumar Vijayan for the 7th edition of the Rolling Reels International Film Festival.
After extensive thought, numerous rounds of entry assessment, and the judging panel’s difficult conclusions, 4th Rule, Amara and Case no. 404 emerged as the top 3 Films with Pira bagging the first position in the Indian Category and Amara emerging as the winners for the International Category.
In its previous editions, the RRIFF had proudly associated itself with many famous brands like Behindwoods, 24 AM studios, Ondranga entertainment, Romedy NOW and Radio Mirchi.
