All own a house, but transforming it into a home requires the right kind of items. Just like we match our clothing with the right accessories, our houses too deserves to be decorated with the right kind of home decor. Paintings, side tables, wind chimes, vase, etc are all the items that make a house look beautiful. Nevertheless, not all consider putting in a lot of money into branded home decor products. Quiet right though, some home decor products available in the market, are costly.
Keeping your house empty with no decor, however, isn’t sensible either. You need to decorate your home with at least some home decor items as it is a place you return to after a hectic and tiring day. You owe yourself a pretty and beautiful looking house because trust me, it gives great pleasure to the heart. Besides, having guests over and receiving compliments from them for having a pretty house feels exceptionally amazing!
If you are unwilling to spend money on home decor, there is a superb alternative that will not just make your home look beautiful and pleasant but also unique. The best part about this is that you don’t have to spend a penny!
Put your house waste to its best use to make your home a gorgeous and a cool place to stay.
Tin/Can Cutlery Holder: After you are done chugging on your beer or cold drink from the cans, don’t throw it. They serve other purposes too. Cut the head of cans, paint the body with pretty colours, leave it to dry, and place them on your dining table with the cutlery of your choice.
Shoe Box Charging Port: Bunch of wires entangled with each other look very shabby. Cover it by placing it inside a shoe box. Place your wire extension box into the shoebox with all the chargers connected to it. Make holes on one side of the box and suspend the wires of the chargers from inside the box. To make it look more beautiful, you can paint and decorate the box too.
CDs and DVDs: Lets accept the fact that CDs are slowly entering into the antique’s category and also that we all have a varied collection of the same which we are planning to get rid of. Instead, put it to use. Simply placing/pasting these CD/DVDs or even Vinyl Records on the wall will look alluring and also give a vintage look to your house.
Glass Bottle Vase: Again, Wine bottles or any other glass bottles can be placed on the side table with pretty and delicate flowers in it. Even plain uncolored bottles look appealing. You can also decorate the bottles. Also, if you aren’t much of a flower-liking person, you can either just place a nicely decorated bottle on the table or fill the bottle with colourful beads of different sizes. Ensure that you cork the bottle to prevent the beads from spilling.
Glass Bowl Candle: Very often when new utensils are put to use, the old ones are given away. We fail to realize that they can be used to decorate our homes. Big as well as small glass bowls can be used as candle stands. You can also draw patterns on the bowls so that light emanated by the flame can come out in different designs.
While these are just a few ideas to decorate your home, there are many other things you can use. All you need is cool ideas and waste material to get started!
