National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), which is run by the Government of India, has signed an agreement with the prestigious New York-based Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) to run dual-degree programmes. The two institutes have agreed to collaborate in the areas of fashion design, textile design and fashion communication, offering a fantastic opportunity for NIFT students to obtain a joint degree, awarded both by NIFT and FIT. However, the institution has not yet given the timeline regarding the implementation of the agreement. However, they have assured that this agreement will be implemented as early as possible so that it will benefit NIFT students.
