Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister, Manish Sisodia said on July 2 that although the government schools are closed till the end of the month, online classes will be conducted for Delhi students of grade 11 and 12. The teachers need to follow up with the students through Whatsapp and phone calls (in case the students do not have WhatsApp on their phones) for clearing their doubts. No live classes will be conducted for students from kindergarten to grade 10 but they’ll be given exercises and feedback will be given on their tasks through WhatsApp or phone calls.
IIT Kharagpur Director, Virender Kumar is of the opinion that India’s ban on 59 Chinese apps should be considered a boon for the researchers. Power Minister R K Singh on Friday said that India will not import power equipment from China, amid border standoff with China. He also asserted that the equipment import from China and Pakistan would not be permitted especially on the basis of inspection. He said: “This (huge import of power equipment) is something we cannot tolerate that a country will transgress into our territory. We will not take anything from China and Pakistan.” He further said, “we will not give permission for import from Prior Reference countries. We are affected. There could be malware or trojan horse in those (imports from China) which they can activate remotely (to cripple our power systems).”
