Kick-off 2018 – The Rotaract Club of Bombay West

Kick Off – The Golden Battle Arena is an annual initiative taken up by the Rotaract Club of Bombay West to promote the sport and bring together passionate footballers to take part in a healthy competition and showcase their skills and sportsmanship.

It was a two-day League Football Tournament which was carried out successfully with 32 boys teams participating from all across Mumbai and 21 sponsors including the likes of Gold’s Gym, RedBull and Wellness Forever. This year, Kick-Off was graced and inaugurated by the presence of Shiva Shetty, the Nagar Sevak of Borivali.

With the prime motive of breaking the stereotype and promoting the sport for girls, as much as it already is for boys, this year, there were also matches hosted for girl’s football teams. The Rotaract Club sought the need to bring about this change and hence got a large response from many young women. Therefore, in the span of 2 days, there was a girl’s tournament hosted in the same fashion, especially for girls.

The Rotaract Club of Bombay West is thankful to every single person for making this a massive success of an event. This includes all their sponsors from the media partners to food partners and several more, all the volunteers from within and outside the club and most importantly, all the teams present. The support that the club received for this year’s edition was beyond their imagination and they are positively overwhelmed by the overall response.
