Started with the aim to revitalize the spirit of sports and hustle beyond normal, after months of preparation and 3 exceptional days, IRIS Ranbhoomi 20, Central India’s Biggest Esports fest of Indian Institute of Management, Indore, concluded on a high note. The three-day gaming fest conducted amidst pandemic in a completely online mode, from 4th to 6th December 2020, took a centre stage, with 20+ esports events ranging from Valorant to FIFA to CS: GO and Free Fire. Ranbhoomi also incorporated various fun, informal events like chess, 8 ball pool, football skills, poker, and treasure hunt. About 1600+ participants poured in from all over the country, to become a part of the legacy of IIM, Indore, one of the largest B-schools.
With live streaming of the entire fest throughout on YouTube, there were panel discussions moderated by Prof. Aditya Deshbandhu, of which popular streamers from across India like Ankkita C, Krutika, Gamerfleet, Gunshot, iFlicks as well as founders & managers of Esports organizations including D. Rushindra Sharma and Zedisbugg were a part. After a hilarious and entertaining stand-up comedy by Jaspreet Singh on Day 2, the final day of Ranbhoomi saw some back-to-back competitions in several events among esports enthusiasts. The closing ceremony was accompanied by an Open mic by RJ Ishaan from Radio Mirchi.
