IIT Kharagpur set to offer short-term courses to external students

IIT Kharagapur has announced its plans to offer short term courses with international faculty to students of other colleges. Dubbed International Summer and Winter Term (ISWT), run during May-July and December respectively, a range of courses will offered in a number of disciplines from science and engineering to management and law, based on the current streams IIT offers.

The programmes would last either two weeks or ten days, and would be taught using a combination of lectures and tutorials. Students from both India and abroad would be welcome to apply for the courses. The institution is also open to applicants from research organisations and the industry. Registered cadidates would be set on a path to obtain additional academic credits based on evaluation and grading processes.
