The Entrepreneurship Cell at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune, is back again with yet another exciting event, Ideathon 2k22: Reminisce to Ideate – its first-ever hybrid event. It is the ultimate venue for ideation where the most inquisitive minds in the nation compete against each other.
The registrations for Ideathon 2k22 went live on 1st November 2022 on the Devfolio platform. The event had zero registration fee and was available to anybody worldwide enrolled in a UG/PG program. The registration portal for the event closed on 15th November 2022 after receiving over 650 applications from over 200 colleges around the country. The final round of Ideathon will take place on 20th November 2022 in hybrid mode.
Ideathon 2k22 is being conducted in two rounds. In the first round, participants must submit the problem they have chosen along with the actionable plan of their solution. The first round was held online from 12th November 2022 to 15th November 2022, and the results are going to be announced on 17th November 2022. The teams with the most inventive submissions will proceed to the final round. The finale will take place on 20th November 2022, from 11:00 HRS IST to 16:00 HRS IST at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune campus.
In addition to the main event Ideathon, E-Cell IIIT Pune brings back some of the classic events: TopTalks, Pitch2Win, and aQUIZition to add a bit of nostalgic sweetness. TopTalks is a boardroom simulation event in which participants dress up as big business executives and have their decision-making skills tested. Pitch2Win is an elevator pitch competition designed to improve contestants’ pitching and persuasion skills. aQUIZition is a business quiz competition. Along with the events to promote entrepreneurship, Ideathon 2k22 also has in store a variety of fun events like a Treasure hunt, Bottle flip, Spin the wheel, and many more.
The extravaganza doesn’t end there. E-Cell IIIT Pune also brings back Breaking Conventions in its third season. This time, three speaker sessions will be held offline at IIIT Pune college campus, where the students will get the opportunity to meet some of the eminent and established individuals in the industry. For this season, E-Cell partnered with some of the most prominent entrepreneurs, including Mr. Madhukar Bhatia (Managing Partner at Pentathlon Ventures), Mr. Vijay Veerachamy (Global analytics lead, Cargill Business Services India), Mr. Yogesh Shinde (Founder of Bamboo India), and Mr. Sandeep Chawda (Managing Partner at Pentathlon Ventures), to provide the audience with invaluable industry insights.

With a whopping cash prize pool of more than INR 55,000, E-Cell IIIT Pune leaves no effort to encourage young entrepreneurs to demonstrate their innovative abilities and potential to change the entrepreneurial environment.
