ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Starts: All You Need To Know

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is all set to begin today, on October 5, in India. A total of 48 matches will be played from October 5 to November 19 across 10 grounds in India, including the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the much-awaited India vs. Pakistan match is set to be played on October 14.

The tournament will kickstart with the defending champions, England, playing against last year’s runners-up, New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today. 

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has earmarked a total of Rs 83 crore or $10 million for the World Cup 2023 prize purse. The winner of the tournament will get Rs 33 lakh or $4 million whereas the runner-up would get Rs 16 lakh or $2 million. All the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 matches will be telecast live on the Star Sports Network as well as the Disney+Hotstar app and website.
