How Sex And The City Set Serious Life Goals For Girls Of Every Age

Sex and the city turned twenty this year and but has not yet aged. The first season of this American TV show was aired in the year 1998 and the final season came in the year 2004. The story revolves around the life of four girl best friends and their frank discussions of female sexuality, friendship, and unstable love relationships, set in the heart of New York City.

Here is how Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte, in their mid thirties, lived their best life and inspiring other women to do so.

Living alone

All four of the girls are working professionals and staying alone in their own apartment, proving that you don’t have to get married to have your own dream flat, and you alone are sufficient enough to make you rent your own apartment.

Your girlfriends are forever

The closing dialogue of season two was “They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.”

The series shows also set some girlfriend goals with the four discussing everything going on with life over a drink or two, because no matter how my boys you may have in your life, your girls are the best listeners and advisers.

Keep on experimenting

It’s okay to see multiple guys before you finally decide to settle for one. The more you see, the clearer the image you will have in your head about your ideal man.

Its okay if your long-standing marriage/ relationship fails

Whether it was Charlotte’s marriage with Trey McDougal or Carrie’s rollercoaster relationship with Aiden, both didn’t last forever because destiny always has something better in store for us.

Age is Just a Number

It’s okay to remain single as long as you are happy and find your significant half. You don’t have to marry someone because all your friends are getting married and you don’t have your plus one to go out with.

Indulge in yourself

Believing in yourself, raising your self – confidence, and spending ‘me’ time are the most important thing, as Carrie rightly stated, “Sometimes we need to stop analyzing the past, stop planning the future, stop figuring out precisely how we feel, stop deciding exactly what we want, and just see what happens.”
