Happy 6th to BTS: Idols From Korea

A Korean boy band which entered the world 6 years back on 13th June 2013, has reached to global heights and their dedicated fans ‘The ARMY’ is celebrating their anniversary showering RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, the members of BTS with love, support and nostalgia.

Debuting under Big-Hit Entertainment the boys were trained for 1-3 years and lived together under the same roof. They have stood by each other’s side through thick and thin with ARMYs always having their backs. Their music videos are based on an alternate universe or also known as ‘Bangtan Universe’. These boys have been highlighting many social issues and encouraging people to ‘Love Yourself’.

From their first album “2 Cool 4 Skool” to their recent EP “Map of the soul: Persona” Bangtan boys have surpassed boundaries and gained global recognition. They have broken records, topped charts, received awards, presented a Grammy, delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly, performed worldwide stadium tours, partnered with UNICEF on the ‘Love Myself’ campaign to end violence against children and teens and released over 200 songs. The boys won their first deasang in 2016 and the collection has kept on growing. Their recent song ‘boy with love ft. Halsey’ broke records for the most viewed music video in 24 hours with a whopping 76 million views.

These humble men have always thanked their ARMY and credited them for the success they have achieved. They have shared everything with their fans. “Bangtan and ARMY is one family”, “ARMYs made us who we are, they gave us the wings to fly”, “ARMYs are my everything” these boys never forget to express their gratitude to the ARMYs. It is one of the reasons why they have such a huge and dedicated fandom. “I don’t exaggerate when I say that I feel like I know them and know their hardships. Their songs are like penicillin for us and no matter what we all are there for each other. Please keep going strong BTS and Army” a fan tweeted.

‘FESTA’ is an annual celebration of BTS’s debut anniversary which includes various surprises for the fans from new singles to choreography videos, from photoshoots to funny profiles, the span of 10 days of Festa is a treat for the ARMYs. Festa ends with a dinner party, a video of BTS having dinner, answering questions and purely having fun. This year’s Festa was no exception. Fans were feasted with Jin’s new solo ‘This night’, a family portrait, a funny spring day choreography video and much more.

“#6YearsWithOurHomeBTS” trended on Twitter worldwide with ARMYs sharing the unforgettable moments they shared with BTS and taking a trip down the memory lane.

The phrase “I purple you” or ‘Borahae’ was coined by V referring to purple, the last color of the rainbow, which means I will love and trust you for a long time.
