The Mumbai Film and Comic Convention took place at The Bombay Exhibition Center, Goregaon on 19th, 20th and 21st of December last year. And it is back with a bang this year! It takes place on 19th and 20th December 2016 at the same venue i.e. Bombay Exhibition Center, Goregaon.
Comic con is basically a place where fans of fiction, graphic novels, fantasy, gaming and literature gather together for a fun filled experience. They dress up as their favorite characters and get clicked at various anime backdrops. Various sellers sell merchandise related to the literature. Also artists from the anime world come and perform here. This year the major attraction will be Sylvester McCoy. He is a Scottish actor, best known for playing the seventh incarnation of The Doctor in the long running science fiction television series ‘Doctor who’. Also the very famous author and artist of Cyanide and Happiness from the popular web comic will be at the Convention this year too. And don’t miss out on Gavin John Aung, a famous cartoonist and Joe Harris-very renowned book writer and screen writer.
The best part of the Comic Con is the opportunity for fans to meet their beloved stars as well as people with similar interests, under one roof. Figurines, badges, and fandom merchandise like light sabers or full metal alchemist pocket-watches are for sale. There are many comic launches as well. These definitely can’t be missed. Various budding artist put their art on show at the event as well, and of course you can buy them too!
We suggest you get your costumes ready and gear up for a weekend of fun. We know you need it after the week’s hectic and tiring schedules. And what’s the harm in forgetting the real world for some time and losing yourself in the world of fiction. We all deserve a little escape, don’t we? So mark your dates this December for the best time of your life.
