Beyond the well-known tourist destinations, there lie enchanting corners waiting to be explored, India’s Hidden Havens. From serene landscapes to ancient architectural marvels, these hidden gems offer a glimpse into the soul of India, providing a tapestry of experiences that captivate the adventurous at heart. Join us on a journey to discover a few such places which are truly extraordinary.

Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh

Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh Jibhi is located in the Tirthan Valley of Himachal Pradesh. There aren’t any trains that go directly to Jibhi. The nearest station is in Shimla from where you can book a cab. The thick pine forests, tranquil freshwater lakes and temples make this place worth visiting. Jibhi is near the famed Jalori Pass, Chehni Fort, Sirlosar Lake and The Great Himalayan National Park due to its closeness to these places it makes your vacation more memorable. 

Hidden prudently inside a lush green forest, Jibhi Waterfall is one of the best places to visit. Here you get the opportunity to taste the mouth-watering authentic Himachali food. The best spot to get a taste of Himachali food in Jibhi is The Shiva Valley Restaurant and Cafe. If you are a fan of the cold weather you can visit Jibhi anytime during the year. However, if you can’t bear that much cold the ideal time to visit Jibhi would be between March and May so you can explore the outdoors and enjoy these treks!

Lansdowne, Uttarakhand 

Lansdowne is located in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Encircled by the dense oak and blue pine forests, Lansdowne appears like an old painting. It is the nearest hill station to New Delhi and can be reached by road or train. However, the nearest railway station is Kotdwar and the nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport. Lansdowne is one of the quietest hill stations in India and has been popular since the British came to India. The major attractions that make the place more wonderful are The War Memorial, Tip In Top Point and St Mary’s Church.

One can find all kinds of food here and the best place to eat is Northern Flavours. The ideal time to visit Lansdowne is during the summer, the hill station is beautiful during the monsoon season but there is a risk of landslides due to rain. All the explorers who enjoy walking should stay at Lans Castle around 4km down Lansdowne you can trek from your hotel to the market which is the best part.

Landour, Uttarakhand

Landour is a small cantonment town neighbouring Mussoorie. It is just 7km away from Mussoorie, you can hire a taxi from Mussoorie. The nearest railway station is in Dehradun, about 35km away. The major attraction of Landour is its iconic bakery. Though the charming bakehouse is only 2 years old, its interiors are reminiscent of an old hill cabin. Other major attractions are Lal Tibba Scenic Point, Kellogg Memorial Church and Landour Clock Tower. A speciality of Landour is that it offers striking views of the Garhwal, Himalaya, India’s Hidden Havens

Owing to the pleasant climate throughout the year, Landour can be visited at any time of the year. Most people visit Landour in summer (April to Jun) to escape the scorching heat prevalent in other parts of India. While there are others, who prefer visiting Landour in winter to enjoy the snow. However, note that depending on the amount of snow, the road to Landour could be blocked as cars would slip on snow-filled slopes leading to Landour. If you are lucky enough you’ll be able to spot the winter line of Landour.

Parsili, Madhya Pradesh 

The Parsili Resort is located on the banks of the Banars River in the Majhauli block of the district and is truly India’s Hidden Havens. Parsili, an idyllic village in the Sidhi district, has more to offer than the eye can see. This unspoiled destination is 10 km away from Sanjay-Dubri National Park, where you can combine your passion for wildlife with a relaxing break. The nearest airport is the Bamrauli Airport in Prayagraj and the nearest railway station is the Marwasgram, Majhauli, Sidhi. It is a part of Kanha National Park It is surrounded by hills and forests, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. 

This place is ideal for college students who are looking for destinations to explore due to its budget-friendly nature. Some of the major attractions here are The Barefoot Walk which starts at 6 in the morning in a magnificent surrounding and Govindgarh Fort, The best time to visit Parsili is from October to April. Visiting Parsili in these months will make your trip calm and ideal.
