EUREKA! 2019 – The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay

In the last few years, entrepreneurship is the buzzword that has caught the fancy of the nation. With the advent of the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Startup India’ initiatives, the startup fever has caught the eye of the Indian population looking to create innovative solutions for the country’s most indigenous problems.​In a bid to promote entrepreneurship and unlock India’s inventive potential, the Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Bombay, which has established 160 e-cells in different colleges across the country, has now come up with the latest edition of its annual business plan competition Eureka! that looks to combine technology, vision and business acumen. 

Eureka! is one of the most popular International Business Model competition held by entrepreneurship cell of IIT Bombay. The competition, which was incepted 20 years ago, has grown from 50 teams competing for INR 50,000 to a competition which now sees over 10000 entries competing for prizes worth INR 5 million at stake with excellent networking opportunities in India and Silicon Valley 

Eureka! has changed the outlook for startups significantly. It now provides a startup with the opportunity to incubate and come up with flying colours & is something which every startup also looks up to. They try and make a mark in the industry using Eureka as a platform to express their ideas. Over the past few years, Eureka has been a huge success and people both in industry and startups, have been looking up to the competition.​Through a 5-month long experience, which has been designed to emulate the process of raising funds for one’s startup, covering everything right from scripting a business model to pitching it before an investor. 

In Eureka 2019, there are going to be prizes worth INR 5 million up for grabs along with excellent networking opportunities in India as well as Silicon Valley,​and a​chance to feature in the prestigious Forbes India GMI editorial. 

The finalists would also get​direct entry into the Elite 100 of Singapore Management University 10th Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition. Moreover, all the finalists would get an opportunity to be considered in the final selection stage of ‘Nidhi Prayas Scheme’ with up to 18 month-long prototyping support and incubation with the monetary support of 10 lakhs! 

If you think even that is not enough, all the semifinalists and finalists would get AWS resources worth 15000 dollars.
