All-India management entrance test results released
The highest score in the AICTE-conducted entrance test for admission to management programmes in India was 317 out of 400 which was achieved by Hendre Omkar Pravinchandra of Kolhapur wh appeared for the exams from Delhi.
A total of 88,942 candidates appeared for the online test which was conducted between 20 and 24 February. Nearly 40% of the candidates to appear for the test were girls with over 33 thousand girls appearing taking the online test. However, the top 19 ranks were occupied by boys.
The lowest score was -45 (minus 45) because the test has negative marking along with positive markings. The level of difficulty of questions has been on the rise but the number of questions and the marking system remains the same. This has the maximum scored marks to have dropped consistently over the last four CMATs to have been conducted.
The CMAT is heavily favoured by B schools in Maharashtra as compared to the rest of the country. The state has the highest amount of candidates for the test. However, many institutes in other states also use the CMAT scores for the admission process to their management programmes.
