CarMa- Thadomal Shahani Engineering College Festival

CarMa, an annual gathering of the brightest and the most excited masses of students form all around the city, is the premiere festival of the Management Society of Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, Bandra.

Short for CAReer MAnagement, by no means are the three days of this festival short on fun and activities. Stimulating the minds of youth through various events, CarMa aims towards developing the city’s brightest in tackling the multitude aspects of college life and beyond. The events of our festival aim to hone the skills of the participants in the fields of management, salesmanship, logical and analytical approach towards a problem, public discussions and debates, and teamwork.

The flagship event of CarMa, TM-MUN, will convene at The Regus Trade Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex on the morning of October 7, of this year. TM-MUN is one of the largest MUN conferences in the city, and prides itself on being the only such conference to be outsourced from its college to a location as grand.

Then on, on the evening of October 8, people are set to be welcomed by a standup comedian, an intellectual no less, and the witty part of the duo who present ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’, Biswa Kalyan Rath! As a part of our partnership with PETA, Biswa Rath is all set to make our plethora of audience bend over double, red in the face with his timely jokes and extremely witty remarks.

Quiztacular, a widely anticipated national level quiz, is next on the list of most popular CarMa events. An elaborate two-day event, with over seven largely different rounds and participants from colleges around the country, Quiztacular promises the winning team the prestige of being crowned winner along with cash prizes.

For the one’s looking forward to voice their opinion is the Talkathon, a national level debate competition that serves as the perfect platform for the aspirants to exercise their intellect and engage into a rigorous battle of words. A classic panel style debate, Talkathon is the first annual inter-collegiate debate organized by the Management Society of TSEC.

Further, Revamped is TSEC’s grandest fashion event which, over a course of a day and 3 rounds, will involve a ramp photoshoot, shopping at the Fashion Street on linking road, and styling of all sorts.

CarMa brings all these events, and many more, to the city from the 7^th to the 9^th of October. Thus for the avid and curious both, CarMa 2016 promises to be a spectacular convocation of mind, fun and management.
