* Cambridge English Language Assessment (part of the University of Cambridge) has launched www.campustowork.org – a unique portal bringing together corporate organizations and educational institutions to match the right candidates with the right communication skills to the right job.
* Campustowork.org provides the institutions a free platform to position themselves as preferred partners for recruitment with key employers. Employers too have the overwhelming challenge of recruiting candidates with the right mix of technical and communication skills for the position at hand.
* Speaking about the launch, Angela ffrench, Director of Operations – South Asia, Cambridge English Language Assessment said, “The greatest paradox of our time is the fact that while on one hand, industry is battling to fill up vacancies; on the other hand, educational institutions are struggling with shortage of employment options for their young graduates. The Cambridge English Campus to work portal is the first step to convert these two challenges into mutual solutions for the other. Campus to work will provide the connect to ensure that graduates have the choicest of employment options while recruiters can select from graduates with essential qualifications and the required communication skills. By benchmarking graduates against international language standards, Campus to work goes beyond profiles that ‘look good on paper’ and looks at skills actually needed in the workplace.”
* Institutions can well prepare for the oncoming campus placement season by registering with Campustowork.org. They will also receive job alerts being posted by employers and be able to directly connect with them with suitable student profiles.
