It’s time to take a break from the boring mundane life and watch something that can give you a good belly laugh. Listed below by Minal Sancheti are five TV shows that are absolutely fun to watch

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is critically acclaimed in the comedy genre and one of the funniest American police sitcoms out there. The show is about a talented detective Jake Peralta and his diverse and happy-go-lucky team that solves crimes in Brooklyn. Leading the police station and the team is Captain Ray Holt, who is strict and sticks to the cop rules in the handbook. Starring in the show are Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, and Andre Braugher. The sitcom is a brilliantly written and hilarious series on the cop show format.

Impractical Jokers

Impractical Jokers is a reality show about four real-life childhood best friends, Joseph “Joe” Gatto, James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn and Salvatore “Sal” Vulcano who love challenging each other to some of the most embarrassing dares and stunts that are caught on hidden cameras.  The Big Loser who fails to perform the stunts is given an even more mortifying punishment.The American practical-joke-reality series is filmed mainly in New York City and New Jersey. The four jokers, as they call themselves in the show and their pranks are hysterically funny.

Blunt talk

A British newscaster, Walter Blunt shifts to Los Angeles with his alcoholic manservant to host a talk show, the “Blunt Talk”. He uses the show to guide Americans on how should they live, think and behave but in reality Blunt himself often struggles with his life behind the scenes. Starring in the show are Patrick Stewart, Adrian Scarborough and Timm Shar. It will surely leave you with more than just chuckles.

Impastor

Buddy Dobbs who owes a huge sum of money to someone and is on the run, arrives at a small town where he disguises himself as a gay pastor in order to keep a low profile. Impastor is an American sitcom created by Christopher Vane and starring in the show are Michael Rosenbaum, Sara Rue and Mircea Monroe. Impastor is a light comedy and fun to watch plus stunning Michael Rosenbaum is another reason to love the show.

The Jim Gaffigan Show

A stand-up comedian by profession, Jim Gaffigan is also a father of five kids and tries to manage his life with the help of his hapless wife.The show is directed and written by the comedian Jim Gaffigan and his wife Jeannie Gaffigan and is based on their life. Starring in the sitcom are Ashley Williams and Michael Ian Black as well. The Jim Gaffigan Show is rollickingly funny and amusing.
