CAREERS

Best Jobs For Lazy People

Life can get difficult for people who do not want a tiring, high-stress job. If you are someone who loves their couch more than a workstation, don’t fret, there are several career options that can help you make money without sucking out the life from your system.

However, what is seen as laziness is usually a result of lack of motivation towards a certain job. You might feel disinterested in working if it is not something you like or if you feel the stress is not worth the uphill struggle.

We hope you find your Wake up Sid moment and a job that motivates you enough to leave your cats and couch at home. Till then, hunt these opportunities down and try not getting addicted.

1) Critic

Imagine tasting food, watching movies and giving your opinion for a living? While most of us end up posting a micro-review on social media anyway, you can actually get paid for writing a full-fledged one. Perfect for lazy bums – this job involves eating at the fanciest restaurants and let’s be honest, who doesn’t like that?

2) Mystery Shopper

As a mystery shopper, you can get the best of experiences – salon treatments, dining out, shopping and more. What is expected of you? You would be required to give an honest quality review of the products and experience. Mystery shoppers are hired by companies to do unexpected quality checks on their client’s organisations. And you thought lazy folks don’t get luxuries!

3) Software Developer

If you quickly jumped to conclusion that this job is not for sluggish people, then let me stop you right there. Bill Gates once said, “I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.” And if that doesn’t motivate you enough, I don’t know what will. If you are the kind of lazy that gets the work done, but with minimum effort then you will make a good developer. How? You will research, plan and find out someone who has already found a solution. This job will work for a good full time option and not just for a passing phase of sloth.

4) Binge Watcher

Do you know online video entertainment companies like Netflix pay people to binge watch their videos? The viewing suggestions that pop up when a user signs in is generated by such binge-watchers. Although, you usually don’t get to pick the content you want to view, it hardly matters to a couch potato! Getting paid for watching videos is life.

5) Sperm Donor

If you want a quick buck and have an open mind, being a donor can help you earn a lot of money. Before you jump into this, watch Vicky Donor (if you haven’t already). Firstly, it will teach you a thing or two about this and secondly, it’s a good movie and your couch is craving the warmth of your lazy bum!

Everything said and done, Rome was not built by indolence! Larger luxuries come with hard work and let’s hope you find a career that you don’t feel lazy for.
