Association of MBAs’ India Roadshow kicks off meeting more than 1,000 students and 100 faculty across four cities over five days

The Association of MBA’s (AMBA) has successfully completed the first leg of its AMBA India Roadshow, visiting four of India’s leading business schools, in four major Indian cities, over five days and meeting with 100 faculty members and more than 1,000 business students, to understand and move to address the issues facing business schools and future leaders across the sub-continent.

In November 2016, AMBA’s Chief Executive Andrew Main Wilson, Head of Events Leah Carter and Employer Relations Manager Aarti Bhasin, visited:

International Management Institute, New Delhi

Management Development Institute, Gurgaon

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai

Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata
The AMBA India Roadshow forms part of a strategic campaign across India in a bid to consolidate strong links with business schools across the country, ascertain Business School leaders’ thoughts on MBA employment trends in the region, as well as welcome business students and graduates into AMBA’s global membership of 22,000 MBA students and graduates in 120 countries.

Joining AMBA’s membership arm will give Indian post-graduate business students and alumni the opportunity to network and profit from AMBA’s extensive membership benefits including thought leadership from the world’s leading business thinkers and practitioners, career development opportunities as well as business and lifestyle perks.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of AMBA, said: ‘AMBA is the accreditation market leader in India, accrediting 10 of the top 15 schools in the country. India is already the second largest country in the AMBA network for student and graduate members and with more than 1,000 more students and graduates joining AMBA during the five-day roadshow, India is rapidly becoming a key market in the AMBA Business School network of 245 schools in 70 countries and the AMBA student and graduate members network of 22,000 members in excess of 150 countries.’

Aarti Bhasin, Employer Relations Manager at AMBA, added: ‘The first leg of our India Roadshow was a huge success and was a great opportunity have face to face contact with key faculty staff, Members and potential Members.

‘This roadshow helped us to understand the Indian Business School market and the role AMBA can play in helping our Business Schools differentiate themselves in this crowded marketplace; and to help the Business School’s make useful connections within our extensive global Schools network. A special thanks to the four accredited Business Schools we visited for their enthusiasm, investment and support for the AMBA partnership.’

AMBA’s senior team will embark on the second leg of its AMBA India Roadshow in early 2017, visiting AMBA-accredited Business Schools in Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bangalore, Indore and Jamshedpur.
