Aashayein – Umeedon Ki Udaan

The third edition of ‘Aashayein by Cascade’ held on Saturday, 10th August, 2019 was in its true sense, a success. It was incepted with the belief that every student deserves a chance to perform, relish and express their inner selves.

Aashayein provides a platform for lesser privileged children, to showcase skills and strengths while also helping them to further pursue and nurture their creativity and talent.

The closing ceremony had the renowned actor, Mr.Sharman Joshi as the chief guest for Aashayein. The events were adorned by personalities like Ms.Smita Bansal, Ms.Suchitra Pillai, Ms.Raymon Kakkar and Ms.Sai Deodhar for the performances.

This year Aashayein had a variety of events ranging from Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Talent and Personality to Sports. The highlight events Zara Nach Ke Dikha (Group Dance) and Verses vs. Verses (Poetry Recitation) were the show-stealers at Aashayein.

The children had a great time competing in energetic sports events like Dum Laga Ke, Hayesha! (Tug-Of-War) and Ready Set Go! (Relay with a Twist). Chote Ustaad (Talent and Personality) brought out the inner ‘Ustaad’ in each child.

An unforgettable memory is the ‘Fun Fair’ which each and every child cherished to the fullest.

The event ended on a high note with 600 smiles dancing to ‘Bum Bum Bole’ and ‘Aashayein’ and they exited with a heart full of memories and hopes, which ensured the Chairperson, Tamanna Tanna’s feeling, “Main aasha karti hu ki aapki umeed udaan bhare.”
