A future trail through Young Authors at Litomania – The October Litfest

Literature in India brings out the complexity and depth of Indian culture and heritage through tales that reflect the incredible diversity India encompasses. The October litfest called ‘Litomania’ will be the first literature festival that will focus on popular Indian writing. The lit fest conceptualized and organized by the Think WhyNot Group, concentrates on ‘What is India Reading’and opens up opportunities, learnings and insights over two days. Apart from featuring the top best-selling Indian authors, the litfest will see participation from popularyoung Indian authors such asAnusha Subramanian, SudeepNagarkar and Ravinder Singh. For instance Anusha Subramanian, in her book ‘Heirs of Catriona’ showcases an interesting fiction world which is a commendable feat at the age of 12. At Litomania, she intends on speaking to an audience who will share the same interest and vision like her. She will respond to the theme, ‘The search for desi Harry Potter’.There will be a workshop for young adults by Preeti Vyas, Publisher & Fou nder of FunOKPlease Publishing India, on ‘Understanding the Publishing Process’. On October 11th& 12th, Mumbai will witness a wave of intellectual learnings and discover a pathway to the future on Indian roots and thinking. Best-selling author Sudeep Nagarkar will discuss the future of romance in Indian Literature. Sudeep is an alumnus of WeSchool, the Knowledge Partner for Litomania. Romance and melody will be spun by Ravinder Singh, another young popular Indian author. His soul-stirring stories are woven around some of his own experiences. Through Anusha, Sandeep and Ravinder; a league of young achievers, Litomania will strive to build a platform for aspiring authors who are working to get their story out to readers. In order that young book lover’s get a once-in-a-lifetime-experience, Litomania has initiated the Young Reader’s Delegation. This special group of youth will get special seating preference at all the sessions at Litomania.
