6 times Ranbir Kapoor mesmerized us with his acting

Whether it is while playing Bunny in Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani or a deaf and mute in Barfi, we cannot deny the fact that Ranbir has always made us go weak in the knees. His smashing looks coupled with his power-packed performances that can win over even the most cynical heartstrings make him an undisputed superstar.  Speak about swoon-worthy performances and these are undoubtedly his best!

Rockstar

The journey from a sweet and innocent Janardhan to a wild and arrogant Jordan could not have been portrayed so well if it was not by Ranbir Kapoor. He won many critics accolades and awards for this film and rightly so. The two only things that worked for this film were Ranbir’s extraordinary performance and Rahman’s music.

Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year

Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year was an ordinary movie with an extraordinary message and performance by Ranbir Kapoor. It might have not won him awards but he definitely connected with his audience and won critic’s hearts too. Nobody else could have played Harpreet Singh Bedi the way Ranbir did. His body language, dialogue delivery, timing and expressions were just bang on!

Barfi

We are not exaggerating at all when we say that Barfi is Ranbir’s best performance till date. It is not easy to play a deaf, mute yet a playful character but Ranbir made it look like a cakewalk. Coupled with excellent performances by Priyanka Chopra and Illeana D’cruz, Barfi is the best Ranbir Kapoor film.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

Main udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon bus rukna nahi chahta, when Ranbir Kapoor said these lines every 20 year old couldn’t agree more.  Playing Bunny, who moves from place to place because of his passion for travelling and photography, the versatile Ranbir once again proved his mettle as an actor.

Wake up Sid

Wake up Sid was just the 3rd movie in Ranbir Kapoor’s career and he won the Filmfare for Best Actor Critics category. Playing an aimless teenager, he instantly connected with the youth and stole their hearts with his flawless acting.

Tamasha

Tamasha may not be a box office hit but one cannot question Ranbir’s performance in the film. Ranbir Kapoor delivered a career-defining performance in this film. Tamasha was his show all the way and the actor brilliantly portrayed different layers to his complex character.
