5 Cool Ways To Put Your First Salary To Use

After spending your major chunk of life on pocket money given by parents, receiving your first salary is definitely the best feeling ever. Receiving my first salary after a long long month and holding the cheque in hand feels surreal.

Here are a few cool ideas to use your first salary:

Go Buy it Now

Go and buy that one thing you have wanted for a long time but weren’t able to. Those speakers, Bluetooth headphones, that bag, that dress, that smartwatch, those shoes, just go and buy it from you ‘self-earned money’. It’s a big thing and you totally deserve it. If it’s something extravagant and your current salary doesn’t suffice, which is most likely to happen, make sure to start saving up so that you can buy it in the future.

Gift Your Loved Ones

You have always received gifts from your parents since birth. It’s your turn now. Buying a gift for them from your money will make them happy beyond limits. Gift them something which will stick with their memory forever. You can also gift your other loved ones like grandma, grandpa, siblings, and best friends. If you don’t like the gifting idea, you can also treat them to nice restaurant.

Help Someone

Since you have started earning, you can always visit nice place, eat delicious, buy expensive products for yourself, but remember there is a major section of the society that is poor. You can help the needy and poor. Make a considerate contribution. Donate some amount for the unfortunate. Your contribution need not be monetary, you can spend some time in an NGO engaging in some positive activities.

Spend On Yourself

You have two options. You can pick any. You can either pamper yourself buy going to a salon or go to your favorite restaurant or you can enroll yourself for some class like a driving class, swimming, yoga class or get yourself a gym membership.

Start Investing

Every rupee counts. Mark this. Before you get into the habit of spending, start saving and investing. Go to any bank of your choice and open a recurring account. You can also start investing small amounts of money into gold and equities.

Sure you should use the money you have earned, but keep in mind to use it for the right purposes. Put it to the right use and also don’t forget to save.
