10 Important Questions To Ask Your Partner Before Tying The Knot

Koffee With Karan was just a source of gossip for me until Indian author Twinkle Khanna made her appearance on the show and enlightened me with a rather important lesson about marriage. She stated a few questions that every individual must ask their partner before tying the knot.

So if you are planning to get married anytime soon or your dating life is starting to hear wedding bells, asking these 10 questions to your partner is extremely essential before tying the knot:

Where will we build our home after marriage?

Do you want to have children? If any complications are to arrive, will you be okay with adoption, surrogacy or other ways of childbirth?

Should we get ourselves tested for any possible health issues?

Does your family or close relatives have any health condition that you or our children are most likely to suffer from?

How will we divide our responsibilities and duties?

How will we manage our finances equally?

In case of differences and misunderstandings, how will we attempt to resolve them?

What kind of marriage have you always wanted?

What will your expectation be from me, after our marriage?

What changes, compromises or adjustments are you willing to make in our marriage?

These are basic questions that you can ask your partner to understand what your married life will be or what to expect from it. This obviously won’t guarantee a successful marriage but it will definitely help you clear your mind before tying the knot.
