Deepika Kumari and Jayanta Talukdar clinched the bronze in the Recurve Mixed team event, after beating China 5-3 in the bronze medal match at the Asian Archery Championships in Bangkok.
A recurve bow is a bow with limbs that curve away from the archer when unstrung.
The Indian pair defeated their Chinese opponent 37-35 39-36 31-39 36-36 in the match to seal the bronze medal in their favor.
It has been a good year for India as archer Abhishek Verma took top prize at the World Archery Championships in Poland earlier this year.
