Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil Awarded Budhbushan Jeevan Gaurav Award

 

Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil, the son of Padmashree DY Patil is a renowned philanthropist and educationist. Dr Patil has completed his Master’s from Richmond College. He also has a specialisation in Marketing from the London School of Economics and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Central Lancashire.

Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil has served as the Chairman of the Central Board for Workers Education (CBWE). As its Chairman, he developed a sense of patriotism among the work force to ensure intelligent participation, to develop greater understanding of the personal and social issues, to work with trade unions through conscious members and responsible internal leadership, to strengthen cooperative movement and self-help techniques and to bring out the hidden creative capacities of its work force.

Education has always remained his core commitment and he is the Founder- President of Dr DY Patil International Academy that is committed to creating Institutes of Excellence through collaborations with internationally renowned universities.

The prestigious Budhbhushan Jeevan Gaurav Award was conferred on Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil at a glittering function in Pune. The award was handed over by the Marathi Samrajya Sena for notable contribution in the field of education.
