Ever sat in a class where everyone seems to understand what is going on except you? This is not because you are stupid, but because you have an intelligence that differs from those around you. Dermatoglyphics is the scientific study of fingerprints, and a test called Dermatoglyphic Multiple Intelligence Evaluation or Test (DMIE, DMIT) deciphers an individual’s unique intellect.

WHAT IS A DERMATOGLYPHICS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE (DMI)?
Dermatoglyphics involves an analysis of fingerprints. Derived from Greek words ‘derma’ meaning skin and ‘glyphe’ meaning carving, it originated in the late 1800s and has today transformed into one of the most sought after intelligence tests called Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence or DMI. The reason why dermatoglyphics is so popular is because it can record a person’s intelligence, skills, talents and potential. This study of fingerprints has therefore gained widespread popularity across the board with school and college students and working professionals all looking to weigh the kind and level of intelligence that they were born with. 

WHO IS A DMI TEST FOR?
DMI test is not limited to a specific age group; in fact, it can be taken by everyone from toddlers to students and even working professionals. HOW RELIABLE IS A DMI TEST?
Conventional personality evaluations such as aptitude tests often elicit emotional responses. On the other hand, in DMI, evaluations are based on fingerprints that are unalterable and cannot be influenced by environment, behaviour or emotions. Dermatoglyphics is a professional industry that combines neurobiology, genetics and embryology. Fingerprint patterns are not random. They are part of an individual’s genetic makeup. In ‘anencephaly,’ a disease where one is born without the brain, it is found that even fingerprints are missing. During the development of the foetus, finger prints and brain development take place simultaneously. Hence, it can clearly be said that the study of fingerprints are accurate and unchangeable.
