FDCI India Couture Week 2022: An Event That Celebrated The Indian Craftsmanship

After two years of digital showcasing, FDCI’s India Couture Week finally let the designers walk down its ramp with great dazzlement this year. It was a 10-day fashion week held from 22nd to 31st July.

It was the 15th edition of the India Couture Week. The Fashion Design Council (FDCI) hosted the event bringing to the audience the fashion extravaganza of 13 designers. Speaking about the 15 year old journey, FDCI chairman, Sunil Sethi said, “I think the most beautiful part of this 15-year journey for me has been to be able to create a blueprint for the future with India Couture Week. This has been a memorable journey of celebrating the unique heritage we possess as a country.”

India Couture Week is the country’s most exclusive and premier fashion event that showcases and celebrates the genius of craftsmanship and handlooms, and homegrown talent. The designers who showcased their glamorous work include Tarun Tahiliani, JJ Valaya, Rahul Mishra, Suneet Varma, Falguni Shane Peacock, Amit Aggarwal, Anamika Khanna, Anju Modi, Dolly J, Kunal Rawal, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Siddartha Tytler, and Varun Bahl.
